Simple answer: I would not be one.
NB. I have refused jury service.
However, this true anecdote is more informative than my answer above:
Not many tears ago, in England, a landlord was before a judge for gross negligence of his rental properties and disregard for the basic comforts of his tenants. In passing judgment the judge stated that the defendant's most suitable punishment was to experience the conditions he visited upon his tenants and then imposed a sentence of a certain period of residency in his, the landlord's, own rental property.
The judge was, perhaps unknowingly, applying the Law of Karma!
